Belz Factory Outlet World

With 450,000 square feet of bargain-hunting territory, Belz Factory Outlet World is one of the largest factory outlet shopping destinations in Tennessee. This Pigeon Forge retail Mecca is home to more than 65 outlet stores, featuring name-brand goods at prices that are hard to top.

Inside Belz’ doors you’ll find a comprehensive selection of merchandise, ranging from apparel, cosmetics and footwear to house wares, electronics, jewelry and leather goods. Books, luggage, toys and sporting goods are a few more of the specialty items that the Belz merchants have in store for bargain-hungry shoppers. Of course, the eateries found in the Belz food court are also on hand to take care of those who are just plain hungry.

Mall merchants include popular outlet-center clothiers like BonWorth, Geoffrey Beene, Izod, VanHeusen, Dickies and the budget-friendly Steve & Barry’s. Other names include Black & Decker, Old Time Pottery, Tuesday Morning, KB Toy Outlet, Totes Sunglass World and Rack Room Shoes.

One of the secrets of the mall’s popularity is its low prices, often representing as much as a 75-percent savings over retail. Patrons are able to buy directly from the manufacturer, so the savings are available day in and day out. While the low prices can often be attributed to factory overruns and seconds, that’s not always the case. In many instances, shoppers are working with first-run merchandise.

The Belz mall offers more than just great deals for those shopping in Pigeon Forge. A variety of special events take place at the mall each year, from celebrity auctions and fashion shows to the annual Halloween egg hunt, when parents can bring their costumed kids ages 10 and younger to search for some 10,000 candy-filled eggs.

The mall also hosts several special sales throughout the year, typically coinciding with holidays like Independence Day, Labor Day and Columbus Day. You can even get an early start on your Christmas outlet-store shopping during the annual Midnight Madness sale, which starts at 12 a.m. the day after Thanksgiving.

Shoppers can enhance their Belz experience by taking advantage of the mall’s many customer services. Stroller rentals and paging services are available, and visitors can access local maps, trolley schedules and tour-bus bookings. The mall also offers a Preferred Shopper Discount Club as well as coupon booklets for AAA members.

The Pigeon Forge Belz Factory Outlet world came on the scene in 1987, making it the first (and it’s still the only) enclosed, climate-controlled outlet mall in the area. Notably, the original Belz Mall, which opened near Memphis in 1979, is generally recognized as the first outlet mall in the United States.

Belz Factory Outlet World is on Teaster Lane in Pigeon Forge, just one block off the Parkway at Traffic Light 3. The store is open Mondays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. You can visit them online at www.belzoutlets.com.
