Besides beautiful scenery, delicious Southern food and exciting wildlife, the Smoky Mountains have plenty of other kinds of entertainment in store for you, including some newly added attractions. Pigeon Forge ranges from thrilling magical theater and high-flying trampoline jumps to mind-bending escape-room puzzles. These new attractions are perfect for rainy days and group activities, too.
The most exciting addition to the Pigeon Forge fun lineup just might be the new Trapped Escape Game. You are locked in a room (don't worry; there's an automatic exit button) with 60 minutes to solve puzzles and crack codes hidden around the room. The goal is to discover a four-digit code that allows you to "escape" before your time is up.
There are three different rooms from which to choose. In the Capone room, you'll be transported to gangster-era Chicago, where your group has been kidnapped by Al Capone. You and your friends have one hour to escape before he comes back for an interrogation session. In the Haunted Cabin room, your group has 60 minutes to solve the puzzles and escape. If you can't crack the codes in time, you'll have an encounter with the ghost of a crazy old moonshiner! In the Asylum room, you must escape before your visit turns into a permanent arrangement. The Trapped Escape Game is $26.34 per person and rooms hold eight people. This is a great activity for the whole family or group, and is perfect for a rainy day.
Adults who enjoyed Trapped Escape may also love The Captured, an escape game in Gatlinburg. This live-escape game has two rooms: The Cellar and Scarlett's Room. Note that themes are a little more intense than Trapped Escape. Tickets are $30.
TopJump Trampoline Park is also new to Pigeon Forge. This massive facility offers four different fun zones. The Trampoline Park is the main attraction, with special activities such as dodgeball, basketball, a ninja course, gladiator pit, airbag, and kid zone.
The Clip 'n' Climb zone is the largest in the country and includes exciting activities such as Astro-Ball and a challenging Stairway to Heaven climb. Climbers of all ages will find something fun to do in this exhilarating interactive zone.
Arcade fans - rejoice! The brand-new TopJump Arcade will thrill you. This is a state-of-the-art facility with the most modern games and best prizes around. Their advanced card system eliminates keeping track of tickets and tokens. New additions include Jurassic Park Arcade SD, Crossy Road, Big Bass Wheel, SpongeBob Pineapple Arcade, and Grand Piano Keys.
If you need to fuel up before all that jumping and climbing, SugarRush candy store is the place to do it. This isn't your average sweet shop, though. Sugar Rush is packed wall to wall with novelties such as giant jawbreakers and cereal box–sized Nerds.
Tickets for TopJump are $15 an hour for adults and $10 an hour for kids under six. Additional hours are at a discount. Tickets for Clip 'n' Climb are $18 an hour for adults and $12 an hour for kids under six, with additional hours at a discount. Combo tickets are available, and the Arcade requires no admission tickets.
With a name like "Sevier Air Trampoline Park & Ninja Warrior Park," how can you resist? This may be Sevierville's most exciting indoor attraction for burning off some energy. Sevier Air Trampoline Park offers 50,000 square feet and two levels of bouncing fun. This is a serious trampoline park with a full 34,375 square feet dedicated to trampolines.
The park has several different courses, including a ninja course inspired by the TV show American Ninja Warrior. The professional-grade Dodgeball course also promises to be a favorite.
Magic Beyond Belief is Pigeon Forge's newest show. World-class magician Darren Romeo recently won Entertainer of the Year and Magician of the Year, and his exciting two-hour performance recently won Show of the Year. Romeo is the only magician in the world who can perform the famous Blackstone floating light bulb illusion, a trick in which the magician lights up a floating light bulb.
Magic Beyond Belief is a two-hour magical review in which guests will be entertained by illusions, magic tricks, musical numbers, and exotic animals such as rare white lions, Bengal tigers, and more. Romeo also performs musical numbers, comedy, and hilarious celebrity impressions. There's so much to enjoy in this magical show that you may want to return for an encore performance.
Tickets for Magic Beyond Belief are $29.95 for adults and only $9.95 for kids.
The Great Smoky Mountains have more to offer visitors than ever before, and 2016 promises to be the most exciting year yet.
